Tropiq Getaways LLP is excited to introduce Kochi's first zero-emission private boat cruise at Kadamakudy Islands.
The 12-seater twin-engine electric cruiser, "The Legend of Ousu," is designed for a premium, eco-friendly experience. Combining rustic, vintage charm with modern comforts, the boat features reclining cushion seats and silent engines, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquil sounds of nature, from birdsong to the gentle gushing of water. Panoramic views ensure a breathtaking journey through the hidden islands.
The boat is named after Ousu Chettan, the 99-year-old oarsman known as the "bridge of Kadamakudy." For 52 years, his dedication to the community has made him a symbol of commitment and reliability. This initiative honors his legacy while promoting traditional values, preserving the rich stories of the islands, and offering career opportunities for local youth.
Over the past three years, Tropiq Getaways has collaborated with Kadamakudy villagers under the "Living Islands" initiative. This project showcases the beauty of the islands through sustainable activities like kayaking, e-bike tours, and now, electric boat cruises. "The Legend of Ousu" will host private cruises, food tours, island visits, and storytelling experiences, drawing experiential travelers from around the world.
